Welcome to my cornucopia of

Abstract Art

inspired by

Sharm el Sheikh

and the

Red Sea

The inspiration for my Abstract Art has mainly come from my many visits to the Red Sea, and in particularly the very beautiful Sharm el Sheikh, situated on the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula, facing the Straits of Tiran.

So it seems fitting that a large proportion of this site should be dedicated to facts, figures and photographs of Sharm el Sheikh and The Red Sea, with galleries of Coral Reef Fish including descriptions of their personalities and behaviour.

I have also included some of my other images that really don't fall into any particular category, but that I hope you will find interesting.

Most people can get their head around abstract flowers, they are everywhere you look, from high street stores, to medical waiting rooms, on all types of packaging, clothing and to promote lifestyle choices. They are used to advertise, mesmerise, adorn and be worn. They are pleasing on the eye, can add drama or calm and are interesting to look at.

All my Abstract Fish images started life as digital photographs, taken underwater at my most favourite place on the planet... Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.

There is a saying that Nature never gets it wrong, and I totally believe that. However I discovered years ago that I could work along side nature, with what she had given me, and produce alternative images.

My Abstract Flowers tend to evolve as I work on them, I never really know how they are going to look when I have finished.

I love dramatic shape and form combined with flamboyant colour, to ensure my images make an explosive, extravagant and often tempestuous statement.

Tropical seas in blinding shades of turquoise, aqua and ultra-marine, teaming with gaudy fish, dashing before you, against a back drop of extravagant Coral Reef formations, a perfect eco system to be protected, nurtured and enjoyed.

Pure Inspiration

The Red Sea is a Nature Lovers Paradise. Whenever I enter the warm, crystal clear waters, I feel privileged to share this underwater Heaven on Earth, and am in a state of continued wonderment, at just how perfect this other, below the waves, world is.
